This 25.000 sqft luxury mansion in London required an update and upgrade of the existing system to control with one unified UI all Lights, Blinds, HVAC, Audio, 4K TV, Home Cinema, Car Lift and several alarms. The system — previously installed by another company — had many issues and needed replacement to become energy saving and efficient, while adding real control to HVAC (heating and cooling) and monitor all plantrooms. Various integrations had to take place to make it easy and intuitive for the user.

Our main focus was enhancing and simplifying the life of our clients. Starting from the BMS, we integrated as many elements as possible into the Crestron home automation system, then allowed easy access to all settings via our custom-made GUI. This provided complete control of the whole property and eliminated the need for additional touchscreens and remote controls, reducing costs and clutter.
Our bespoke interface was expressly designed to ensure intuitive usage even for non tech-savvy people. By programming personalized scenes, we allowed residents to trigger their favourite settings with a single touch. For maximum flexibility, these scenes are accessible from smartphones, touchscreens, remotes and personalized keypads (which were also engraved for easier understanding).
Moreover, we greatly expanded the A/V and entertainment system by adding multiple audio and video sources and more and better speakers in key areas like the cinema, pool, games room and garden.

- Honeywell Alerton BMS System, integrated with Crestron.
- Integrated controls for the car lift, so users can choose which car they want from their smartphone.
- 2N door phones intercom system with Bluetooth and FOB, integrated with Crestron touchscreens to avoid installing multiple indoor units.
- Added CCTV cameras with Artificial Intelligence capabilities, IR and IP anti-vandal cameras. Intruder and fire alarm were integrated with Crestron and a 4K 55’’ monitor was installed for the security staff.
- All communal areas were integrated with DALI lighting system (saving first fix costs) and more functions were added to the keypads (e.g. scenes).
- Installed Crestron electric blinds and curtains (92 items in total).
- Integrated heating (underfloor) and cooling (VRF-FCU units) for the 48 zones that needed climate control, removing individual HVAC controls and using all available Crestron TSW Touch screens, TSR-310 remote and iPads for efficient and easy control.
- Added 15 music sources and used a Crestron extender to bring music outdoor, where waterproof landscape speakers were installed.
- Installed Invisible speakers wherever possible to minimize the impact on the interior design.
- Each room’s music can be easily managed from our custom interface; clients can add rooms to the master group to have the same music in multiple spaces or activate the party mode, where guests can easily stream their own music via Airplay or services like Spotify, Tidal etc.
- Added two video sources (Roku and Apple TV 4k) and used 17 high-performance AV over IP encoder/decoder (4K60 4:4:4 video over standard Gigabit Ethernet), so clients can play different sources at the same time with zero latency and no perceived quality loss.
- Concealed the TVs in the bedrooms with end-of-bed electric TV lifts.
- Increased the number and quality of speakers for the Dolby Atmos/DTS:X home cinema and added extra acoustic treatments for better absorption.
- Added a LED strip to the bar in the pool area to achieve better ambient lighting and relax scenes.
- Installed a 10kVA online UPS in the rack to protect the system from power supply problems.
