We are happy to announce that one of our home cinema installations was featured in a case study by the Home Cinema Choice magazine . You can find us on pages 34-35 of the summer edition (issue #312)!
As the article explains, for this project “it was important to provide state-of-the-art AV, but with little actually visible, and keep the budget in check”.
Indeed, we aimed for premium sound quality with M&K speakers  (shown in the picture below during installation) and improved room’s acoustic, while paying attention to the cabling and providing ample space for further upgrades (e.g. including power for electric seats and USB in each spot).

Blending aesthetic and function

Visible acoustic material on the ceiling was ruled out by the owner, so we used Amina mobius 7  as ceiling Atmos speakers and focused on wall treatment and some custom-built pieces to support the equipment, absorb vibrations and further improve the acoustic of the cinema. The goal was to isolate and maintain the acoustic energy while controlling the sound to be as natural and dynamic as possible, with minimum sound coloration and distortion.
To match the aesthetic of all cinema with hidden speakers, the IW950 speakers used for side surround were recessed in the wood panels.
Special care was also given to the projector’s box, which was treated with Acoustikblok barriers to keep the noise low and specially designed to provide good ventilation and allow easy access for maintenance.

Intuitive controls

Like in the rest of the mansion , all the settings can be easily managed via our bespoke interface. For easier access, a Crestron TSW760  touchscreen panel was installed at the entrance of the cinema and handheld touchscreen remotes were provided. Tailored scenes were also programmed to allow one-touch operations, like ‘movie’, ‘relax’ or ‘ambient’.
