Our team is glad to share that one of our cinema installations at a mansion in London was featured in a case study written by M&K Sound. You probably already know the project, as it is the gorgeous villa that got us among the TOP 3 finalists for the Residential Project of the Year at the 2020 AV Technology Awards. Moreover, it was also featured by Home Cinema Choice.
This time we discussed more in detail our work in the dedicated home cinema.
Like in the rest of the property, we adopted several bespoke solutions to better meet the needs of our clients. For example, we installed specially designed bass traps and acoustic baffles in the front wall to support the main speakers (MK S150).
We also designed two rigid mass loaded boxes for the two subwoofer (MK X12), to avoid boundaries reflections from the low static waves and simulate a soffit installation type.
MK Speakers were also used for the back and side surround (respectively, MP150 and IW950). In particular, the two MK IW950 were recessed to the wood panel to match the aesthetic of the cinema, as the owner had requested minimal visual intrusion. For the same reason, we used invisible speakers (Amina Mobius 7) in the ceiling, in order to achieve a seamless look.
